Pledge

Donors who wish to contribute to the Annual Fund or Capital Campaign but do not wish to make an immediate payment may instead make a pledge.

A pledge is a promise to make a specified payment within a specific period of time; for the Annual Fund, it is the fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).

Pledges can be made online, by mail, email, or phone. The Office of Institutional Advancement will mail pledge reminder letters and pledge forms during the fund year. Please call the Director of Advancement Services Laura Booze at 540.687.4517 should you have any questions or wish to make a pledge over the phone.
Planned Gifts

Whether in the form of bequests, trusts, annuities, pooled income, or property interests, planned gifts ensure that Foxcroft will retain and attract inspiring teachers, design and implement rigorous and creative educational programs, offer much needed financial aid to prospective students, and carefully maintain and augment buildings and grounds as needed. The Foxcroft Circle

Young women learn best when challenged by an interdisciplinary and experiential curriculum. That's why, at this affordable boarding school for girls in Virginia, you'll find girls flying drones across campus, developing apps in Schoolhouse, writing poetry on the banks of Goose Creek, and utilizing our current construction projects to learn about engineering. The Foxcroft Circle, previously the Annual Fund, makes these experiences possible.

Ceremonial Groundbreaking Opens Construction Phase of Mars STEAM Wing

Friday, April 19, Foxcroft held a ceremonial groundbreaking for the new Mars STEAM Wing, the second of four phases in the School’s “Building for Our Future” campaign. The groundbreaking took place during the opening reception for Reunion Weekend when close to 150 alumnae, faculty, staff, trustees, and friends gathered just outside the current science wing.

Thanks to you, the Great Women of Foxcroft, we met the 1914 Challenge with 109 donors giving in honor of our Founding Day, and the “Winning Fund” was our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Fund, which supports programming and educational opportunities for our students and community — unlocking a total of $3,828 in challenge dollars! In addition, the trivia winners from our kick-off event chose to designate their $500 to Buildings & Grounds which they felt would help alleviate some of the costs incurred through COVID-19 mitigation measures this year.

Marion Couzens joined the Foxcroft community in January of 1997, to work on the school’s $30 million Gateways to Excellence Campaign. Prior to Foxcroft, Marion worked in the political arena as a government affairs representative for the steel industry. She has also worked for a private on-line legislative service and a marketing/public relations firm.

A graduate of Miss Porter’s School in Farmington, CT, Marion received her BA from Colgate University. She lives in Middleburg with her husband, daughter, and son. She enjoys riding, skiing, traveling, and spending time with her family. One of the "perks" of her job is the opportunity she has to meet the many wonderful people who are connected to this school.
Hayley Munroe

Hayley Munroe joined the administrative team as Director of Institutional Advancement in 2023. Since 2014, Hayley has worked in all aspects of fundraising, first as a consultant with Inbloom Consulting in Brecksville, OH, where she worked with over 30 regional and national non-profit organizations, and then at Lake Ridge Academy in North Ridgeville, OH, where she was Director of Advancement. She has served as Interim Director of Development for a non-profit, she’s managed feasibility studies and capital campaigns, as well as directed annual giving and major gift efforts. Her skills include prospect research and development, gift solicitations, donor relations and stewardship, and project and event management. As Director of Advancement at Lake Ridge Academy, Ms. Munroe raised $4.1 million in two years, led a $14 million comprehensive Student Health and Wellness campaign, revamped the annual giving program to increase revenue, wrote grants, and was responsible for three major fundraising events annually, including a black-tie gala and golf outing.

Ms. Munroe earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in business management from Kent State University and a certificate in Event and Meeting Management Fundamentals from Event Leadership Institute. In addition to her passion for fundraising for nonprofit organizations, Ms. Munroe was the founder, CEO, and Artistic Director for a dance studio for nearly a decade, honing her skills in operations management and in social media and marketing, not to mention her love of dance! In her spare time, Hayley enjoys running marathons and loves being with her Blue Heeler, Wallaby, and her orange cat named Bowser.

Laura Booze was born and raised in Northern Virginia. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Decision Sciences and Management Information Systems from George Mason University. After working in graphic design, Laura came to Foxcroft in 2005. She has held a number of positions in the erstwhile Development Office — now known as the Office of Institutional Advancement — and is currently the Director of Advancement Services.

Laura currently lives off campus in Leesburg, Va. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, traveling, and watching movies.
